Myself; Yourself - End

...bleh. This will just be a nice and short review, I'm still bothered by it. And, I'm lazy since this is my first review of a series. I'm gonna go skip to the main points, details about the series can be found anywhere lol. Also, spoiler free.

I've chose to watch Myself; Yourself (M;Y henceforth) simply because of two things. Okay, three. Romance/Drama, Psychological Thriller, and based on an eroge. Those of which were formulas for awesome, at least for me!

The series starts of with how most romance will probably start. Meet characters, expand details etc etc. This is one of the first weakness of the series - it took too much time for character development. I was really waiting for the Psychological Thriller part the most, and the first time 'it' happened, it was around EP5. Not to mention, the whole series didn't really deliver, there were some thrillers alright, but just minor. Nothing Chaos; Head and the likes.

Characters are likable, but that's about it. No tsundereko, so that can be both a plus and a minus. But to be honest though, the best character is the loli, Hinako, but she became the mascot of the series and not being involved in the drama. Same goes to Aoi, I mean, damned she's like a main heroine since she's the protagonist's osanajimi but nooo.

Mentioning Aoi, now I know why other people think Kozu-pii (c;h)'s voice was irritating. Well, not for me, but I feel how they feel now. Aoi was really really irritating. She was moeblob, but maybe a bit too much. Other than that, characters are mostly okay, maybe the only other problem is that Sana is a wimp. Then again, most protagonists are!

Going back, the series starts picking up pace and interest somewhere around the 6th episode, peaking around ep 10 and dies off on the 11/12th. The climax was around 11/12th episode as things really get heated up, while the last episode simply finishes it off, but leaving us not satisfied. Ending basically sucked, aka lol-timejump. And come on, if you're gonna end with a song, at least GIVE US a song. Not some melody then cut it off abruptly!

I liked the emphasis of friendship. Well at least for some of the part. The twists are also good that makes you ridiculed a bit, but most are shown or explained. And silly at times, too.

The other bad thing is that - it felt kinda rushed. Mostly, there are a lot of lingering questions, but I can't say because this supposed to be a spoiler free writeup. Haha

Well, that was fast. Overall, it starts slow, but gets kinda nice drama late in the series. Maybe too late, if I had better internet I would've surely skipped this after the first few episodes. I'd recommend it because it does have its touching moments especially on its peaks, but I'll have to warn you - it'll leave you a bit empty in the end because it felt kinda rushed.

Oh well, there's the VN for a reason. Oh wait, it isn't translated, nor can I see any details about it. lol, one of the things I really wondered is the story in the eroge. I mean, how and what's the difference with the anime?

I'd say 7/10. Nah, nothing calculated, just a number! Pics will be up if I got the urge to do it, but yeah. M;Y was okay okay :P Last shout out, Hinako is awesome, everyone else sucks!
