To start off, there's Chase and X. (doh), they're silly and are now playing FlyFF instead of DotA. Well, that's fine by me, but I'll really miss those two.

After watching several old school DotA (particularly 6.37 era) during the winter break, I've really thought of many many strategies to resurrect to play in the current metagame. Well, I've probably spilled up some of it during one of my earlier posts, so let's just skip the introductions!

You heard that right folks, a Tri-lane! Mixing an old laning scheme with the current metagame of STR-Carries, let me deliver a weird innovation we just did.

Note - items listed are the only ones required. Anything else, you can fill it up by yourself, though the strategy is made, thinking that Ogre/Ryry supports (wards too), and the 3 str will str-carry builds, and not Refresh tree. Or at least, 1st item refresher tree.

The title sounds familiar...

Well, new year has come and finally the 3rd term is already starting. One of the more prominent resolutions I've made is simple, yet complex and necessary. Wanna take a guess? Well, go ahead. Meanwhile, let's go onto meaningless trivial but completely fun, maybe, experience that I've encountered today!

I was a bit troubled the day before today. To simply put it, I don't want it to be another Monday where no one came. Basically the thing is - our sched on Wednesday is more or less similar to last term's T/H sched. Also known as - Afternoon classes. DotA in the mornings! Josh wanted to play DotA, but I wasn't particularly convinced. More so when he said he'll be there 8 in the morning. Man, this is from the guy who wanted to have that Monday but he didn't came. He's also the one who wanted was always late for games and such. So I didn't particularly went as early as 8 (it also means waking up at 6 - it's too much!), but an hour later.

It isn't bad, I guess. Emman was also there early - rather, it was his break already. And soon, people flocked as if it was just another T/H last term. I guess that thing won't disappear this term - that is, the morning DotA for my dC and the morning gaming sessions with the S19 gamers. Well, not that I missed probably one of the nosiest group of people in MG, but I'd prefer it than nothing, of course! So we played RA3, a bit of DotA there. The usual.

One of the more weirder aspects of the day at that point in time was this. Vida told me a question she asked not too long ago. Maybe 1st term. "Do you have a kanojo?". But of course not exactly, up to you what a kanojo is. Haha, of course not! It's something trivial, but it's also something that makes the day fun. And hey, at least I exist ;__; (more...)

As the first of my lol-resolution posts, I'll be tackling a simple thing I love the most. DotA <3

So it's a new year, and that means another year for DotA baby! This year (term is a more exact... term. Haha) marks a big change for my pseudo clan, DC. Some notable changes:

• Schedule rage. The last two terms were comfortable with the schedule. Well actually - I haven't looked too much at my schedule, but I can play like usual, I think. But the point is - the difference in _our_ schedule. In this also enters:
• Change of starters. Players. Well, not exaaactly but it's something you'll come to realize - especially due to the difference in schedule. But we'll hopefully come up with something.

Ever since EHOME introduced the Weaver/Tinker combo, I've really been facinated on that kind of lineup - more particularly though, applying it in our games! Basically, the imba thing here is having Watchers all around the map, wherein Tinker (and consecutively, allies) can TP anywhere, anytime.

This strat poses mobility similar to a Global Strat, but not directly in-tier with that particular strat. However, the real power here is map control - unlike in Global Strat where we can change the tide of every battle, in this strat, we also have an excessive vision all across the map, giving us the opportunity to make the battles ourselves.

One particular downside is of course, using a low-tier hero, obviously, Nerubian Weaver. Then again I particularly favor Weaver for having a potential, and besides, teams like EHOME and KS can use him fine, we don't have to copy the mindset of the Euro teams!

Adapting the strategy to ours (dC), I'm thinking off...

Was something we all wanted to say / hear etc that day. It was a glorious day for dC, it was a 'promotion chance'-esque Tekken-wise. It is a game that will forever change the face of the whole clan.

Well, actually, no. To KISS it up, we're suddenly hooked to play against JP's friends for 150php wager. And there's also the drama part, they beat us two times with the lesser line up, and RAGE, they call us stupid/dumb/idiots! RAAAAAAGE! It was reaaaaally really something we have to face - it was a matter of honor, I didn't practically cared for the money, it was their BS'ing. I/We want to prove. That it's yooooou who's an idiot, doorknobs!

Birthday partaaaay! Well, saying birthday party kinda sounds childish, haha.

Today is Daryl's birthday - he invited us like 2-3 weeks prior to today so I had no reason to just back out, besides he's a close friend sooo I'll definitely not miss this day.

It was _almost_ a disaster. Prior to today, someone just had to invite everyooone from CT - was that a bad thing? At first sight, no, but come on. He invited us and not everyone for a reason, let's respect that.

Maaaan, I missed the route I used to take :)) As usual, we meet up at Jolibee - Waltermart, and hang out there until everyone arrives. And not buying anything from Jolibee, despite taking up their seats :3 I arrived first and saw the birthday boy (he's still 16, will be 17 11:53 or something tonight!). I was joking around and called Rico and Raf that their late, despite it being 10 mins still earlier than the appointed time. Soo everyone else: Irvin, Gelo, Rishi, Donne, Bryle, then Domeng.

We went to Yellow Cab, mmmm~ Cheeeeeese-overloaded pizza was <3 <3 haha. Raf whore'd up the meat pizza and because of that, Donne wasn't able to eat/taste it. Talk here and there, it was fun :)

Afterwards, we went to MoA - man Sng was loaded today :)) He treated us even the jeep, and we're like 10 people :D Anyway, on the way to MoA, I was talking to Rico about endings, true, good, and bad. The first term is coming to an end... Looking back? It's filled with lots and lots of memories. Good ones, funny ones, but there are probably a lot more of the stupid ones than the others! Well, 3 months ago isn't that long but...

I remember the first day I met everyone. Actually - no. I _barely_ remembered anyone during the LPEP. I'm really bad at names and faces, and I'm to plain to making others make a lasting impression!

Speaking of impressions, man, I'm so negative. I won't bother getting into details, but I've thought of horrible impressions of some of my blockmates to the point that I want to say sorry to them. Yesterday, I went to PSECE (Philippine Semi-conductors & Electronics Convention & Exhibit) at the SMX Convention Center somewhere near MoA, as a requirement for my BASICON report. There was also the Frosh Concert at the same day, but I've already planned out everything for that day.

So like, early on in the morning, trouble already ensured! I told Daryl to wait for me to text him whether to meet at MoA or at DBTI. I planned to go to DBTI first to do several things; a) Complain about my Netopia Membership, b) Buy Mass Effect/Neverwinter, c) Ask about WoW in Blitzbyte, d) Search about Wordpress so I can customize it, e) Waste time since APC boys dismiss at 12.
